Concepcion, Paraguay (January 19, 2009)

Well hello there family. This week was really, really hot, but it was a good week.
There is this girl that we were teaching and she lives in Africa and she has been going to church for the last 9 months in Africa. The missionaries there can't speak Spanish so she couldn't get baptized, so now she came out here and we have been working with her a lot. On Tuesday we talked to her because she was leaving to go back to Africa on Thursday and she asked us when the next baptism was. I said, "tomorrow" and she said, "I want to then." It was one of the most spiritual lessons that I have had. The baptism was a really good one and there were a lot of people there.
I was teaching a lesson by the river and I got about 100 mosquito bites and I thought I was going to die cause I itch all over my body. The mosquitoes here are really big and crazy. They bite you through your clothes and when you get bit it hurts.
We're having to walk a lot right now because we have a huge area. To walk from one side to the other it takes about 2 1/2 hours, and we did that 2 times yesterday so I am pretty tired.
But I love you all and hope that everything is good. Love ya. Chan
