San Lorenzo, Paraguay (November 23, 2009)

("Out here in Paraguay we know how to be cowboys!")
Hey there family, how are you all doing….
I am doing well. It is just really hot and it is really humid because it has been raining and then after the rain it gets really hot. Mom and Dad you're going to melt because in Concepcion in February it is about 120. A lot of the days are so hot.
But yeah, this week was a really good week for the work. To start off we had 8 people in church, which is really good for this area and so it was a good thing. The members even realized that we are having a lot of success now.
But here are some stories. Well first off this Thursday I had something happen that hurt. So we were in the church and we had to leave so we were walking and then all of a sudden it felt like someone shot me in the head. So I freaked out and looked up and there was a wasp nest and it was huge and the wasps were the biggest ones that I have ever seen in my life. So I got stung bad and it started to swell up so I went home and took a Benedryl so that I would not get too bad. Then I call the mission president's wife and she told me to make a mud pie and put that on it. So I did. I was rubbing mud on my head and it was lame.
Also we were walking a lot and then we heard music playing loud and so we turn around and there is a train that is on the road. It looked like a normal train, but had car tires and so I thought it would be funny so I stuck out my thumb to hitch hike and they let us jump on. So we hitch hiked on a train. Haha
("Me and my comp bought some cool socks!")
Then on Friday we had an activity that I planned. What we did was watched a movie and ate. Here in Paraguay if food is involved everyone comes, and so I saw less active members come that I have never seen before, and I have been here for 7 ½ months. So it turned out alright. It was cool cause we had the activity and it only costed 10 dollars, and we fed basically the whole ward. It is cool here.
But that is really all that happened this week, nothing too crazy. One of my investigators gave me a picture that he drew and it looks really good, so I was all happy about that. But I love you all a lot and hope you’re all doing good.
Love you
chan
