San Lorenzo, Paraguay (May 25, 2009)

Well this week was a good week. Like we really had a good week. This week we really wanted to find people so we prayed and did everything and we still were not seeing the progress. I was starting to get negative and then I was thinking and studying and for some reason I got all excited. We left to work and we found 4 families that are progressing. We found the people that we needed to find and I really think this area is going to start being better cause we are working really hard. This Sunday it rained and rained and the water was us to our knees so there were only 20 people in church. There are usually 130. Later that day we got a phone call so we went where they told us to go and there we saw something that was crazy. All the houses were flooded. We started to work taking out the water and the water was so, so, so, so, so deep, like up to the shoulder of a horse. So for about 4 hours we worked making a channel for the water to leave. It was a cool thing to help the people when they were all flooded out. We worked in mud and all our clothes were really dirty. It was really fun and we just had a good time. The people were so loving and they kept telling us to stop, but we wouldn't and did as much as we could. I'm starting to like the area. I'm learning to be more patient. I need to have more, but I'm learning that patience is something I need to exercise so I can have more success in the mission. Well I love you all so much.
