Concepcion, Paraguay (March 9, 2009)

Well hey there family...Well this week was one of the hottest ones that I think that I have been in in Paraguay. So that is really saying something. But yeah, my stomach is still weird from drinking that water a couple weeks ago, but I do feel better.
This week was a pretty good one. The counselor of the Mission President came to Concepcion to visit and to teach the branches so that was a really cool thing. That man is a really, really smart man. He taught us a lot and the things that he showed us and taught us were really cool and I thought it was amazing. He shared with us a part in the bible, when Jesus was being tempted in Matthew, where Satan says if ye are the son of God turn this stone into bread. So the temptation was turning the stone into bread. But my leader showed me that the very first temptation that Satan did was the question he said...IF ye are the son of God...Satan was trying to put doubt in Jesus' head and making him think that he is not. Lots of times that is what happens. Satan always tries to do that to us. He tries to make us doubt our faith and a lot of times it works. Cause if we could always remember that we are sons and daughters of God, we would have the will to be better, to really do everything possible and not to sin. That was a cool thing he showed me.
We ate in the nicest place in Concepcion with the mission counselor, so that made me happy. I got steak that was pretty good and it was only 6 dollars. I love that things are cheap here. But yeah, that is really all I got.
Oh and Mom, I am not going to buy a camera. Instead I am going to pay for wedding cause I am teaching these people and they can't pay for all of the wedding, like the judge part. So I am going to help them cause the wife really wants to get baptized. And I really care for them and want them to get baptized. I was thinking a soul is worth more than money can buy.
