Concepcion, Paraguay (March 16, 2009)

Well hello there family. How are you all doing? I am doing pretty good this week.
This week was a tough one cause we had to go to Asuncion. We had to take a bus for about 6 hours to Asuncion. We left here at 9:45 in the night and then we got there at like 3 or something in the morning. Then we had to try to fall asleep for about 3 hours cause then we had to be up and getting ready for zone conference. So that was a pretty crazy trip. I was going to say a vacation, but stuff like that doesn't happen. There is no such thing as a vacation. haha
This week was just a hot one, like a long-suffering one. The heat killed us for awhile, then for no reason I got sick again. Like I got a fever for no reason. But we had to work so we left the house. So far I have not stayed in the house a full day, even when I got really sick. So I have worked for over a year without vacations. Work after the mission will be a breeze. haha
This week I was walking and talking with my comp then all of a sudden I see something out of the corner of my eye and see that it is a snake!!! I don't know why, but the first thing I do when I see it is want to grab it and stuff. So that is what I did. I said to my comp I want it, so without thinking I let all the training I have in snake catching kick in (basically all the stuff I saw on the show Crocodile Hunter).
So I grab the heard of it and it was not that big but people were like, that's dangerous. I told them it wasn't and said I had one like that. So we got a bottle and put it inside and carried it around with us everywhere we went. In the night I played with it a lot and let it crawl all over me and stuff. It tried to bite me a couple times then we thought we'd see if it had teeth. So we got a pencil and opened its mouth and yup, it had pretty big teeth that came out so then after that I kinda got scared. And then for no reason at all it just died. And the funny thing of all this is we named it Baily. hahahaha

Well today was a pretty fun day already. Here in Concepcion there are 4 museums so today all of us went to all of those to see all the cool stuff that was here in Paraguay.
We learned new stuff and went to a couple art museums. It is pretty cool cause we can take pictures of all the stuff and touch it.
Well Mom and Dad and family, I love you all so much and hope that you are all doing good and hope you are all doing the good stuff. Love you. Chan
