San Lorenzo, Paraguay (August 3, 2009)

Yeah Family...So this week was a good week. This week we had a baptism of this girl. First everything was all good and the meeting started and she was all good with everything without problems, and then came the time for the baptism. The water was absolutely freezing and so she didn't want to get in but I convinced her to. And then my comp was doing the baptism and and he said the prayer and put her under and then she came out of the water bawling, like crying a lot so I was confused. She ran into the bathroom and 10 minutes passed and so I clapped and started talking to her and got her to come out. She still wouldn't enter into the room where we were having the service and so I had to pick everyone out of the room and it was just her and her friends and me and I said the prayer to finish. She started to cry because the water was really cold. But she got baptized and now she laughs about it.
We are teaching and finding a lot of new people. The other day we were walking and I decided to clap a house and so we clapped and the man invited us in and we began talking. He said he talked to the missionaries before and almost got baptized. So I was like, ok hermano, if you already know The Book of Mormon is true will you get baptized? So he accepted the baptism date. It was really cool to have that happen after being guided to the man.

Other than that this week was pretty normal. Just working hard in the rain and cold and so it was all good. I really hope you guys are having fun and safe and all that. But I love you all. Chan
