Concepcion, Paraguay (April 20, 2009)
Well Family, This week was one of the most interesting ones that I have had in the whole mission, at least the food part. Mom might not want to read this cause of the few things I ate. We did a division in my area and I was with the kid that has 1 month in the mission. We first had to stop by a family to see how they were and to see if they could leave with us on a division and when we got there the lady had a pig head in her hand. She said come back tonight to eat it and so we did. Want to know what parts I ate........ready for this.................the EYE, the BRAIN, the TONGUE, and cheek meat and everything. It was pretty good, haha, okay...the eye or the brain, no, but the tongue was way good. Later we ate the head of an animal called a carpincho, a giant rat looking thing.
This morning was an amazing adventure.
We got permission to go to this huge hill that is 2 hours away so at 5 in the morning we took a bus and began our journey to go to the big hill. There are not trails or anything so we asked people how to get to it.
They told us we had to go to this house and then they will show us a trail.
We got there and this little kid like 10 years old was our trail guide.
He walked barefoot, and it hurt me and I had shoes on. We had like 1,000 stickers on our bodies.
This kid was just a man and stuff. He stepped on a cactus and just pulled out the stickers without any expression. It was so, so, so pretty but we could not get to the very top. That's an adventure for another day. haha
