(First Letter from Chandler in Paraguay)"Hey Family! It is the first day that we got here and it is quite amazing. It's so green and 3rd world. It's different. There a lot of bugs here. I've already got bit a couple times. Today was stressful. We had to catch a lot of flights and in Argentina no one spoke English, so it was hard to understand and find out where to go. What gates, etc., but we made it. My mission president seems really cool. It was weird on the flights. No one spoke English. But yeah, it's so different it's weird. And the driving is so crazy. There is no speed limit. Well there is, but that doesn't matter cause everyone drives however fast they want. I love you a lot and miss you. Chan"
(Second Letter from Chandler Written On The Same Day)
"Ok Family, I am writing more. We are at the mission home right now and getting everything worked out. It's so pretty here. There is razor wire on every fence it is so crazy. I can't even begin to explain how crazy the driving is. It's a rush ha ha. It is humid here, way humid. And the bugs are everywhere. We are going to the temple tonight so that's going to be cool. So we are doing more driving tonight so wish me luck!!! But I love you guys so much and miss you. But it's so cool here. The weather is pretty weird here though. When it rains they said if floods like crazy. Like it can get up to your knees and you still have to tract. So that's going to be interesting. Well I have to go again but love you all. Chan"

(First EMail from Chandler in Paraguay)
"Family- Ok so where do I even begin...omg!!! When we landed i could see from the sky and there were only a few paved roads. Then we got out and got in trucks to go to the president's house. Wow! The ride there was a ride! There are no laws or rules on the road here. It is all just craziness. You thought that Italy was crazy. This is so much worse. Busses go on the wrong side of the roads to pass people and the busses race to pick up people. We have to take a lot of busses. And the busses don't stop for you to get on. They slow down and they only slow down for you to get off. It is crazy. Mom you would like it ha ha. It's fun though. What else...most of the houses in our area are half a house made of brick and the rest is plastic or metal sheets. But there are parts in our area that don't even have that. Our house is nice. We have a shower and if you touch the head you get shocked. We have to boil the water in order to drink it. Well the temple is way pretty. We went there to see it the first night. But we tract a lot. We teach about 13 lessons a day and this week contacted 137 people. But yeah, love you guys lots. My pday is Monday. Chan"

(Letter from Chandler's Mission President)
"Dear Brother and Sister Stolworthy,
We are pleased to inform you that your son has arrived safely to our mission and we were delighted to welcome him into our home. He is a wonderful young man with a strong desire to be the very best he can be. We are so grateful for him and feel it is a great privilege to have him serving in the Paraguay Asuncion North Mission. Thank you for preparing him so well! We will do everything possible to see that he remains healthy, happy, and actively engaged in his missionary labors.
After careful consideration and prayer, your son has been assigned to serve with Elder Bowen in the city of Luque Sur, in an area called Luque 2A.
We have asked your son to write home once a week or send you an email on his preparation day. Your frequent letters of encouragement to him will be of great value. If special concerns or questions arise, feel free to contact the mission office.
Again, we express our love and gratitude to you for preparing and supporting this great young man. We love him dearly.
Kindest regards,
President Terry L. Wade
Sister Gina Wade"
